Cruelty Free Makeup, Drugstore, High End, and my favorites

Even though I don't do this myself-I branch out to everything-I know that some of you will want this list or just some help in this area if you don't want to go scouring anywhere else and try to hunt these down. I will share a few brands that are my favorite in the high end and the drugstore side and show you my favorites within them as well as a mini review! I also plan on doing this with hair products and with some skin care eventually so stay tuned!

Wet 'N Wild (Vegan)
The Wet 'N Wild Color Icon blushes are some of the best, affordable, pigmented blushes. I usually have to tap off the excess on my brush because they are so pigmented and can easily be packed on too much. I have the shade Mellow Wine and it is a beautiful peachy pink and blends easily into the skin.

The Photo Focus Setting Spray is a good setting spray, making sure that my makeup stays on for longer but the smell is hard to get past. I hold this one a little ways away from my face as the spray nozzle is intense up close.

Physicians Formula
Something I forgot in the above picture, the Wet 'N Wild MegaGlow Contouring Palette in Deulce De Leche so I paired it with this Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in Light Bronzer.

Deulce De Leche can be used to set your undereye and brighten it up as a dupe for the Kat Von D Shade and Light palette in the middle yellow shade and the middle contour color. It's very affordable and a good color for light to medium complexions.

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in Light Bronzer is the perfect contouring shade, very soft and buttery to the touch just like the name suggests. It's hard to over contour with this color and you can use it for a summer bronzer as well as a contour shade.

 E.L.F. (Vegan)
Elf Brushes like the one here  are very good for the cheap price tag. Because of my complete inability to clean my brushes ever, I need more crease brushes to get dirty until I finally force myself to clean my brushes. XDElf's little compacts like the three blush palettes and this highlighting palette are very reasonably priced for the high pigment. I have to be careful not to overdo it with the slightest touch of my brush into each pan as they can very easily look too pigmented on the cheeks.

Burt's Bees
One of the few brands that I can wear for my sensitive lips is Burt's Bees. Over a year ago, I began having issues with my lips peeling horribly and cracking in the corners. One of two lip balms were my only relief from this as all of the other chapsticks and lip balms made it worse and made them peel even more.

Also, during my salon work right now, the constant washing of my hands keeps my hands very dry and needing moisture. Most lotions don't cut it in time but this Hand Salve keeps my hands moisturized longer to help relieve that constant battle I have all day during Tuesday through Saturday of my work hours.

Nyx's Butter Lipsticks are my absolute favorite lipsticks. They are so comfortable even though they are slightly sheer but I love how comfortable they are and how easily applied they are. My favorite colors are Root Beer and Sandy Kiss Normally I'm not a huge fan of Nyx's eyeshadows but this palette jumped out at me. It's not terribly high quality but I was interested after swatching the green in this palette and liking the color payoff. Their shadows always seem a little dusty, but I hope to work with this beautiful palette more and see what looks I can create with these beautiful colors!

Milani (Vegan), Kiss and Flower Beauty
Milani Blushes are some of the best. Besides giving off a weird odor, this rose shade really is beautiful. Kiss lashes like the ones here in Shy. I love this shade from Flower Beauty with this creme eyeshadow. This purpley-brown would be a perfect base for a smoky eye look or to deepen up the edge of your eyeshadow.

Real Techniques (Vegan)
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge is the only sponge that I've ever used in place of a beauty blender for a fraction of the price.

Makeup Academy and BH Cosmetics (Vegan)
I finally got this Carli Bybel palette the other day for my kit; it's a great palette for highlights for various skin tones. I tried this Makeup Revolution palette and was so surprised to find what great pigment they held, matte or shimmer. I love love love this palette. This was such a good investment at only a little over $10! Their lipstick is sheer coverage but light and wearable, this lipstick coming with a detachable bottom filled with the same color lipstick.

It Cosmetics
The It Cosmetics Superhero mascara is one of the best mascaras, not only is the brush good for lengthening and getting in those tougher edges, but the formula actually lengthens your eyelashes over time by using it. One major problem that I have with mascara is that my eyelashes are shortened after wearing it every day but not with this one. I got this tester Bye Bye Under Eye illuminator with my Ipsy bag this month, the only thing really worth mentioning really. I have the darkest under eye bags; so dark that most concealer and foundation don't even cover it. This covers and highlights under my eyes giving me a wide awake look and canceling out any darkness.

Ofra Cosmetics and Essence
I'm not a huge fan of highlights, solely because I don't want that huge UFO looking strip on the side of my face but I have been LOVING these. Seriously so good. The Ofra Cosmetics highlight in Beverly Hills with that top golden shade has been my go to for months until I just got this Essence highlighter in "Be My Highlight" the other day which I already know is going to be a favorite too. You can even see the dent in my golden shade, ha.

Anyone who knows me will know how obsessed I am with ColourPop. I just got my mom on their website and she's picking out eyeshadows as we speak :D I'm a great influence, can ya tell?

My favorite formula is the Ultra Satin Lip in the shade "Alyssa" the perfect nude from my favorite Youtuber, Kathleen Lights. This eyeshadow kit in Love A Flare and their singles in "Coconut", "Weenie" and "Thirsty Girl". The Super Shock Eyeshadows are so pigmented and have such a different texture than any other eyeshadow. They are creme but dry down and feel sooooo buttery.

Anastasia Beverly Hills and Kat Von D (Vegan)
My favorite palette ever is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Renaissance palette. I absolutely love the warm red and orange tones with just enough browns and shimmers to complete the look. Second to it is the Makeup by Mario palette with those beautiful browns and that killer green (which is really the reason why I bought it, let's be real.) but you can't just use it alone. There aren't enough matte shades to make a complete look that's different every time but I can make most of the eye with this palette. Beautiful fall palettes for both. This Kat Von D Metal Matte palette is not online but only at Sephora. This is not a huge palette that I can use multiple shades from, but more like a "Pow" kind of color or two that can really make the eye stand out. Kat Von D has some of the most pigmented colors in their makeup collection, the least of which is this palette. The white is literally bright white on the skin!

Too Faced (Vegan) and Becca
My favorite every day palette is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette, perfect for so many day to day looks and even night looks. Same goes for the Sweet Peach palette. I love the versatility of these two palettes and the colors included, even the pops of green and purple. I use Born This Way foundation with drops from the color 'Sand' in with a foundation more my color as I go through shades of tan. It smoothly goes on the skin, blending in to look more natural. The only place that it cakes up is around my nose and with my Real Techniques sponge, I can just blend it out.My favorite mascara of all time has got to be the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. I love the brush and the volume and blackness that I get out of each tube.

Becca's highlighters have always been top of the line. I love the shade Opal-a whiter gold and can be built up to the Instagram highlight with its high pigment or just dabbed on for a slight glow.

Tarte and Urban Decay
Urban Decay is known for their Naked palettes, my favorites being Naked 2 and Naked 3. The Naked 3 is perfect for a Wedding kit of makeup, the rose shades being very popular with brides. The shadows are well pigmented and blend together well, making it possible for pinky colored eyes as well as peach. The Naked 2 is more of a grayed brown, sporting purples and even some pinks.

Tarte's Lippie Lingerie Matte Lip Tint in Exposed used to be my favorite lipstick of all time before they changed the formula and it became a little drier formula, but the color and the formula is still soo good. It's a very creamy lip tint, melting into the lips smoothly without sitting on top and cracking. It's one of my top lipsticks for a bridal look, natural but just enough color to bring out the natural glow of the rest of the makeup. Pairs perfectly with the Naked 3 palette.

Also extremely helpful is loading the Bunny Free app for more brands for everything including hair color, like Goldwell, the kind my salon Capelli uses for dying hair.

I do not list every single brand that is cruelty free in the makeup world but chose companies that I have favorite products from instead. I have a little more detailed list over on my Pinterest under the board Made Up and Cuttin' Up.

Go give me a follow and learn about more brand for those of you who are interested :)

Also, a Makeup Guru over on Youtube named Carli Bybel has gone completely cruelty-free and is a vegetarian.
