Valentine's Day 2018 || Best Memphis Spots + Dates
I know what you are thinking. Valentine's Day is just around the corner and you want to know what on earth you are going to do that day. I gotchu, boo.
Memphis Escape Room. It's on the pricier side of a date unless you just don't do anything at all but I got together with two of my nearest and dearest friends and our boyfriends were all up for dinner at Chili's and then going to destroy at the Memphis Escape Room. It was sooo fun! Very much recommended!
Travel on a Budget: Each pick a country that they've never been to but always wanted to go and find authentic food ideas on Pinterest or the internet. Each person makes the dishes and has to dress like the people (an extra challenge is doing it on a budget. As in, everyone has to do their best with only $50 for food/costume. Extra extra challenge, setting a certain time period that you have to stick to.) Then someone hosts the get together and you all experience what it would be like across the globe!
Range USA. The reason why I put this on the couples' side of things and not in groups is that it really depends on who is with you on the group. You don't want some friends goofing off with a bunch of handguns trying to impress one another. If you go with a group, or heck, even your significant other, make sure they know the basic rules of safety around weapons. But also, hoorah. Go shoot up some stuff and be safe. Nothing says love like shooting holes in a paper dummy, right?
Road Trip. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Find a place close or far away and get away for day or weekend. Go somewhere close by if you can't escape for too long. Find a hotel downtown and just relax somewhere new. Try to find a hotel where you can just walk everywhere or hike.
Stay at home ideas//
I've probably said this before but I'll say it again. Build a pillow and blankets fort and watch some Netflix and make your favorite snack or buy your favorite candy beforehand. Series binge or just a long movie that you both will like is such an easy date idea.
Make dinner for each other. Make each other's favorite meal at the same time or one pick a dessert and the other a main course. Make them for each other. It's proven that making your food makes it so much more enjoyable according to the Facts By Charlotte That She Just Made Up :)) Also if one of you stinks at cooking, hide a frozen pan of lasagna or cake in the outside freezer just in case ;)
Host a game night with your favorite couples and play every single board game you own. Pitch in for pizza and the rest is super easy and relaxed. You can even wear sweatpants and fun buns instead of dressing up. Win win situation if you ask me.
Happy Valentine's Day!
